CHOOSING THE VENDOR WITH THE LOWEST RISK

Allowing a contractor into your facility is a difficult decision.

Here are a few items to consider:

  • Investigate the vendor, determine if they are capable. Have they performed this service before? If so, for how long? Do they use their OWN PEOPLE or do they subcontract to temporary people? Are their people trained? Do they have references?
  • What do you expect as results? What are you expecting from the vendor? Do you have a scope of work or specifications for them to follow?
  • In what fashion is the vendor providing results? How will they report it to you? Are they willing to work with your specifics?
  • Assurances. What are the distinguishing marks of their service? What is the downtime risk versus the cost of service? Do they understand risk?

This short list should help you "interview" your future service provider.

Ask for excellency. It will give you peace of mind.
