As business moves into the global economy, the health of your data center is everything.
New standards are constantly being created to increase the productivity and safety within the data center environment. Industry standards are often changed and given a certain time for compliance.
Last year a new standard was issued by the International Standards Organization (ISO) that impacts the health, documentation, and disaster planning for data centers.
The need for a new international standard that covered the developing data center, clean room, and technical equipment rooms prompted a meeting of the ISO.They developed a new standard that covered more of these parameters and developed practices to ensure the quality of the room. They also developed ways of classifying and measuring the quality to confirm the health of the data center.
The new standard supersedes other standards, and is expected to be the industry norm in four years, for compliance.
However, compliance for life safety and business mission is always a concern. So we are encouraging clients to meet compliance requirements as soon as possible.
The cleanliness classification levels have changed, and Air Plenum is at the starting gate for these changes.
In order to meet the needs of the ISO and our clients, we have purchased the latest micro contamination measuring devices and have learned the new requirements and classification calculations for the various rooms we service.
These new changes will be visible on the new certificates that we will be issuing after our visits. In addition to adherance to the new standard, our certificates will exhibit the rate of particulates in the environment and their changing levels during our presence.
This is just another way that Air Plenum is helping solve dust problems and ensuring the health of your data center.
